nursing bras for hospital?
I've heard to wait until after birth to buy your nursing bras but alot of hospital bag check lists say to bring a nursing bra to the hospital...do you recommend just buying 1 for the hospital? or would i be better off just taking a nursing tank to the hospital instead of a bra and then shop after milk comes in?

Re: nursing bras for hospital?
Get a nursing tank/cami if you want to try and BF from the get go.
With the nursing tank/cami you can just wear that as your top for the day with some comfy pants...which is what I did once I was able to get out of my hospital gown. I brought 2 nursing bras with me and didn't even need them since the cami was enough.

Re: nursing bras for hospital?
I bought 1 nursing bra and 2 nursing tanks for the hospital (they are in my bag ready to go...I didn't give birth yet)...I bought other nursing bras and tanks from Target, but did not take the tags off and wash them just in case it doesnt work out...I plan to bring them back...from everything I've read, the size you are in your 3rd tri will most likely fit you when you are BFing, and that you are only engorged for the few days your milk comes in...

I'm not buying any nursing bras until after i'm out of the hospital. I bought 3 nursing cami's instead.

Ditto. I just lived in Target nursing tanks in the hospital.

Re: nursing bras for hospital?
I am packing two nursing tanks...I dont want to go through the hassle of buying/returning nursing bras...I've gone up a cup size since becoming preggo and I have a feeling its going to go up more once my milk comes in...

Re: nursing bras for hospital?
Medela makes one that sort of looks like a sports bra. I brought two of those with me to the hospital.

Re: nursing bras for hospital?
I would invest in a few nursing tanks-- buy good ones- they are so much better than cheaper brands (e.g. target). I used bravado for my first and I lived in them while I was home with DS. Nursing tanks are good also b/c they are not too specific a size, and you won't really know what size to buy for bras until after your milk comes in. I was A LOT bigger the whole time I was BFing than when I was prego.
Hope this helps!

Re: nursing bras for hospital?
I wasn't sure what to do about this either so I just bought a few of the sport/racerback sleep nursing bras. I figured i'd be comfortable in that in the hospital.
I'm waiting to buy the real nursing bras until I come home.
