Yeah. I thought that they were not all like that but my friend in the city says that it is pretty much all of them. I haven't seen one of those shows in a while but I did catch one once.

documentary...really good.

oh and yes. Finding and most importantly getting your kid into a decent preschool in NYC is like sending your kid to college... It's crazy!

20K a year! for morning classes!

My boss paid $15k for his daughter pre-k in the city and on top of that had to attend all this fundraising and auctions and shell out more money

My boss paid $15k for his daughter pre-k in the city and on top of that had to attend all this fundraising and auctions and shell out more money
it is crazy!
and I was expecting really wonderful things shown in schools....but same play kitchens, beads, melissa and doug toys...one did have a gym.
I got it off netflix, very interesting. The entire process.

She just started kindergarten and he is paying almost $30k to send her to a "gifted" program. She had to test and interview to get in  From what he tells me, she is not doing much different than what I did in free kindergarten  And he lives in an area in the city that has I think THE best city public school.
