nursery furniture
I am planning on going looking this weekend because I bought at JC Pennys and they are telling me either I get delivery now (I think its too early) or I have to cancel. I would like to find a place to look with a moderate price range that delivers it when YOU want. Anybody have any ideas?

I know that all the basic baby and department stores always have the same stock, Babies R US, Buy buy baby, target , walmart , etc. so you can shop around and select which you like but then just wait to place the order because they will still have it when you are ready

i'm not sure....i picked out furniture but didn't order it yet, i think i will order it around nov 1 but like you i don't want it delivered right away b/c the baby isn't due until feb...as of now the only piece on back order is the conversion kit so i was going to ask if i could choose the delivery date, i'm ordering from pottery barn kids...

I know that the sets we picked out for the boys at BBB took 8 weeks for delivery. Go shopping, look around and ask how long delivery takes. Most of the items at BBB will still be there in a few months so if u find something you like and there is only immediate delivery, you can go purchase it in a few months.

We ordered ours at BRU last Saturday and it is in now. My parents are picking it up for us tmorrow but I told my DH not to put it together till the end of December. It will stay in the babies room in boxes.

to add to this... you can also do layaway. We did it at BRU and its only an extra $10.00 They take your set out of inventory and hold it until you pay it off.

I ordered mine from BBB and it came in within 2 weeks and we let it sit there until we were ready for it.

Thanks! I really couldn't part with my Penny's furniture so I called them and they agreed to hold it for another month. I am being a bit superstitious about having the crib so early, which I know is ridiculous but I need to get over it!
