Nunleys Birthday Party Review!!

I wanted to take the time to write this review bc I asked so many questions about this place before we booked. I thought this might be helpful to someone else in the future.

We had DD 3rd Birthday today at the Nunley's Carousel in Garden City and I have to say they did a FABULOUS job!!

It was the sweetest party and everyone said they had a great time.

First of all the facility is so nice. Very clean, and the carousel itself was restored so beautifully!

Its on Museum Row in Garden City 2 buildings down from the LICM.

The place was so pretty. ITs very simple. The outside is landscaped meticulously and in the center is the carousel. There were wall/windows that they opened up on 3 sides so while you are covered inside you feel almost like you are still outside.

The girls that ran the party were so sweet and really were very organized. The took the favors when we walked in and set them right up. They had a cake table set up too. I chose to bring my own paper goods bc it was a princess party and I wanted the theme to go.

We did the private party from 10-12. And we did the princess theme.

When guests entered the started up the carousel right away and everyone rode on it about 2-3 times. After that they did a craft with the kids. Since we did the princess theme they all made cute little crowns. After that was done they went back on the carousel again about 1-2 times. Afterwards they played pin the crown on the princess (they had a cinderella board set up and instead of pin the tail on the donkey they put crowns on Cinderella!) Again very cute!

They they had pizza and cake and after that they were supposed to read a story but I had 10 3 year olds that were hyped up on cake and all they wanted to do was ride the carousel. (My DD being the biggest culprit). So instead of the story they rode the carousel again for about 1-2 more times.

It really was a great party and my DD is OBSESSED with the merry go round so it was particularly perfect for her!

I really liked doing the private party as opposed to the public one bc it gave more control over the kids as well as over the use of the carousel. Plus there were no strangers or outsiders in with us which was important to me.

The only thing I would say they should do is - once the carousel opens to the public they have a little "concession stand" with popcorn and cotton candy that I wish they would have offered to the private party ( I was even willing to pay extra for it once I saw it when I got there but they just didnt have the help to open up the stand) I would say that would have been a GREAT addition but again it wasnt anything anyone was missing!

Any questions feel free to ask.

Re: Nunleys Birthday Party Review!!

Glad it was a great party!

I agree, I think the private party is the way to go. I know I told you before but the party we went to there was not a private party. And it was very difficult for moms to keep track of their kids, b/c they left the doors wide open for the public to come in. In addition, strangers were in the room, and it was just difficult for moms esp with babies and toddlers to keep an eye on more than one child of theirs in the space.

So glad it was an awesome party!

Thanks! and yes! Private IMO was better. Especially for a toddler party where some of the moms had 2 kids to watch.

I liked it being just US.

But I would 1000% take DD back there one afternoon to ride the carousel. Just for the party- private was def better.
