Numbness in hands
My hands are constantly going numb. It's mostly at night when I (attempt to) sleep.
I have an appt on Monday and I will as but does anyone else experience this? Any tips on making it stop?

Re: Numbness in hands
It might be carpal tunnel, and there isn't much you can do for it.
Or the baby sitting on a nerve...

Re: Numbness in hands
It's called pregnancy carpal tunnel, I had it REALLY bad with my last pregnancy. There were days I could barely bend my fingers because the pain and numbness were so bad. I had a few fingers that were numb for months, I couldn't really feel them at all. It was horrible, I felt like I had really bad arthritis in my hands.
Once my DS was born they started to feel better. Within a few weeks all of the numbness was gone as was the pain.
I don't have any advice to make it feel better, I didn't come across anything that helped. But I hope you feel better.

Numbness in hands
My friend had this and slept with support braces you can get from any CVS or something. She said it helped a decent amount.

Re: Numbness in hands
i've had it for my whole 3rd tri. like a PP, also have had it get to the point of being pretty painful and feeling like my hands and fingers are really arthritic. i sleep with carpal tunnel braces on both hands. it helps prevent my hands from going numb but my fingers still get jammed sometimes. sleeping on your hands and bending wrists in your sleep is what makes the numbness come about.

Numbness in hands
Yes, I have it, and it's annoying. My hands go numb at night, and my knuckles are swollen. I have been sleeping with hand braces, and it does help a bit. Also try to keep your hands elevated on a pillow.

Re: Numbness in hands
It's carpal tunnel. I have it so bad. My arms hands and fingers all day and night. Worse at night. Braces don't help either. Sorry to say but it is normal. Good thing it goes away after birth!!!

That's really it, though they didn't help me much.
I would try massaging my hands and extending my fingers and it helped a little but to be honest, you just have to suffer through. The only thing that really helped was my DS being born.

Re: Numbness in hands
Yep, happening to me. Dr. said its due to swelling...and told me to cut back on carbs, salt...I havent listened so its still happening lol. My midwife suggested Dandelion root tinic (havent tried it either). Also using a brace might help.
