NPR: All hell is breaking loose at work today... Very nervous.
I can't even believe this is happening right now...
Our new fiscal year started on July 1st and my company is making a LOT of changes right now. They always say that marketing people are the first to go and they are so right in this case. A total of 6 people from my team were just let go and the head of marketing has just been demoted and will now be sitting right next to me!!! 
Please  that they are done with cuts!! I cannot afford to lose my job and no one is going to hire me now!

I think that they would be reluctant to fire a pregnant woman- it opens them up to a definite lawsuit

That's what I keep thinking. I work for Microsoft, so I doubt they would want to open that can of worms. That's the only thing keeping me positive right now!

My fingers are crossed for you!!!
My company just went through something similiar and when I made a remark like " hope im not next" my boss said no way they would can a pregnant lady... So hopefully you are safe and sound.

I would think they are prob less likely to fire you b/ you are pregnant.
