November mommies check-in

I know there is a November official thread but feel as if not too many people post on there so figured would do a quick update post.....

I am 33w 1d today and starting to feel the pressure of getting everything done. I feel like we are so far behind!!!

The nursery is 90% complete. I still need to hang up my 2 shelves (will take another week or 2 for them to come in) and decorate them and hang up my decals...also need to paint the closet doors white and for 3 of our drawers on our furniture there were scratches so we are getting those replaced as well (should be ready around Oct 1st)...

My local Pittsburgh shower (had a NY shower for my family already since I moved to Pittsburgh and didnt want to travel late) in this Saturday. I am exciting!

Once the shower is over we still have to put together all the baby stuff we have (and purchase whatever we do not get). Need to install baby monitor and mobile and all that fun stuff!

Have to open the box with the carseat and install and have inspected....

We are in the midst of house construction still...our master bedroom is emptied and we are painting walls and installing new laminant flooring and base floors...then after that we still have to rip up the hall and stair carpet and order new carpet to be installed!!!

Need to do a major house recleaning...take an inventory of all baby clothes after shower...and start washing sheets, clothes (0-3 sizes and a few newborn clothes), ect.

Still need to pick a pediatrician...we have 3 interviews upcoming in September to help us choose....

I feel like there is more im forgetting I need to do :(

Starting to get overwhelmed we wont finish!

33 weeks here, and I have quite a bit to do
Order furniture
Reorganize kitchen
Pick a pediatrician
Make my hospital bag
Wash baby clothes
Set up baby closet
Inventory of must need items after baby shower: buy and set up
Figure out last day at work

I'm sure there are more, these are items off the top of my head.

eta: get carset installed.. DH swears, he'll do it! I want it checked..

Hello! I am 30 weeks 3 days (although the sono estimated her weight to be at almost 32 weeks) I feel so behind on everything...
-Still have to hang a bunch of stuff in the nursery (ie. mirror, shelves, DIY wall canopy, etc)
-Changing dresser came damaged so Im waiting on JCP to send me a new one.
-WE STILL NEED TO COMMIT TO A NAME!!!
-I still have not had any of my showers yet (one in NY on 9/25, and one here in Ohio on 10/15) so I dont know what we will still need
-Choose a Pediatrician
-Start putting together a hospital bag
-Apply for maternity leave
-I would love for us to buy an upholstered ottoman for the family room...right now we are using a glass top from DH's condo before we got married.
-Also, I would love DH to hang some stuff around the house. We have been in this house for 2 years and nothing is hung, we just have pictures and mirrors leaning against the walls...so annoying. He is driving me nuts!! Ugh and now it is football season and all he cares about is tailgating...kill me

This post is giving me a panic attack!! I'm 32w 5d and it's making me realize just how much I don't have done.

We need to finish the nursery.
We are still waiting for the furniture to come in.
We have to pick a pediatrician.
We have to pick a NAME!
I have to pack my hospital bag.
I have to clean my house.
I have to organize all the shower gifts we received.
And there's much much more!

I posted on the other thread last night with a woe is me post of pregnancy issues. To summarize... I'm 33 weeks today. Apparently having contractions I can't feel. Was told that I can't work until they are sure the baby isn't coming. They did a fFN test which I get results on later. If it comes back negative they will reevaluate me next THursday and decide if I go back to work. If it comes back positive they will have to give the baby steroid shots to develop the lungs. The baby is already 6 pounds.

We hired Willy the Painter to come next week.

Crib gets dropped off that Friday. Hopefully pick up the rest of the furniture that Saturday.

No shower yet. Hopefully soon because the suspense is killing me.

ETA:
Haven't picked a name yet either.
No hospital bag packed, although I do have a list of what I want in there.

Thanks for the panic attach ladies!

I am 30 weeks 4 days and i have NOTHING done.

We still need to:
Empty out the babies room of its current furniture & repaint it
Pick a pediatrician
Pick a girl name (have a boy one)
Pack my hospital bag
Give the house a good cleaning, more like a overhaul!

We are not having a shower, so i need to do some major shopping so my baby will not be naked and have a place to sit in the car

I could go on and on, but i am making myself sick

31 weeks 6 days, feeling some pressure and it's increasing a little bit.

Everything feels like a pulling sensation now rather than kicks.

I'm 30 weeks and not really done a thing! This us our second baby, so obviously we don't have nearly as much prep as last time. We are keeping the nursery, which is currently our son's room, as is, and making a big boy room for him. That's our major project that needs to get done. Right now, the room that will be his is just a room filled with furniture we arent using, and all sorts of random stuff! It is also the room where we have our cat's food bowls and litterbox. We have to move the cat stuff to the basement and install a cat door on that door (which we already bought), then we have to clean out that whole room and paint/get furniture/decorate for the big boy theme. Thankfully, we have most of the furniture, just need a couple small things.
Have to pack hospital bag, which will probably happen the day I go into labor .
It feels like there is stuff I am forgetting, but I can't think of anything else! We really need to get going on that room though!

Physically, I am feeling great. Baby is head down, looking perfect, and VERY active! I never get tired of these dance parties in my belly!!

I will be 33 weeks on Sunday...

Finish the nursery--we still have to put up all the moldings and decals and finish painting the closet doors. We are waiting for the furniture to come in and once it does I can decorate and put the pictures up on the walls etc.

My shower is 10/2 so once that comes I will have to put all that stuff together and figure out what I didnt get that I still need. I will also need to wash all the baby clothes.

Make room in the kitchen to store all the baby formula, bottles etc.

Pack my hospital bag

Figure out if we are banking LO cord blood and if so set that up.

Besides all of these things there are certain things I want to do the week before my EDD like make sure the house is clean, dogs are groomed, go for a pedicure, make sure I have meals prepared and frozen.

I feel like there is so much to do and time is just flying by.

So I am sitting here laughing to myself. MIL invited Dh and I to 'lunch' tomorrow at a nice restaurant. I am pretty darn sure it is my shower. So I told Dh and told him the time. I didn't tell him the place. Should I wait until he says it to then say but honey I didn't say where. Or should I wait until hes driving to ask him how he knows where to go? I don't want him to think he ruined it for me so in all likelyhood I will just say the name of the place in passing.... eventually. The little things, they amuse me.

OK, I'm totally behind!

I'm 33 weeks.

Today my husband is probably finishing the wainscotting. I can't wait for that project to be done.

I will be ordering the chandellier and wall decal this week.

Ordered a crib, changing table and mattress this week. I have someone on etsy making the bedding set and will wait to receive it before I buy curtains.

Other than that, nothing is done...I have great ideas in my head though!

If anyone has an extra (I won't be greedy) $10,000 I could really use it.

I'm 33 weeks and 1 day today!

This is #2 for us and we are just all around more relaxed this time around. My 2nd floor is being totally renovated at the moment. All of our bedrooms will be moved upstairs when it's done but as of right now we are a few weeks off from that happening. I still have to dig out my infant car seat and newborn items. We have a list of both boy and girl names and will decide when we see him or her

I will be 34 weeks tomorrow!

I had my shower last week and we got absolutely everything we registered for as well as SO much clothes. I will be doing baby laundry for the next few weeks!

The nursery is 90% finished. My DH has to finish the inside of the closet and I have to hang the wall art.

We had a busy weekend - we had childbirth classes at the hospital all day Saturday and yesterday we made some returns to BRU and BBB and bought our travel system and an extra car seat.

I hired a temp last week to cover for my maternity leave which is a big relief. Everyone is saying that I have dropped but I hope it's not too much - I have another month before my Dr. is signing me out of work! I have my 34 week appointment with the OB tomorrow and a growth sono on Friday so I should know more then.

I still have to think about my hospital bags and have a proper talk with my SIL about her babysitting when I go back to work.

Hey! How's everyone doing?
I am 33 weeks today. Baby's head is down and it's the weirdest feeling when he moves his head. I can feel it in my lower area and I feel some slight cramping. I'm very uncomfortable.
Ankles and feet are swelling and I have a mild UTI right now. MY lower back is killing me too.

I can't believe how fast time is going!

So my dd decided november wasn't a good month because she decided to come on 9/29/11 and I ended up being a september mommy with no notice aside from water breaking at 1 am at 35w exactly!! Luckily aubrey elizabeth was born at 2:21pm a healthy 5lbs 12oz 19 inches long. Nicu team was on hand but she came up healthy and never stepped foot in nicu. We settled home now and left hospital at 5 lbs 5 oz and at 1 week appt still was at same weight...have 2 week appt and if she doesn't get back to birth weight will go on neosure (I'm bottle feeding)

Wow, congrats Kokomo!!!! I love her name!

I'm 36 weeks tomorrow. Having a lot of random contractions. Baby is measuring big at 7lbs 11oz already. I'm hoping to pop a lot earlier because of that. We don't have any names picked at all yet. 99% ready as far as nursery and stuff.

After Saturday (the Jewish holiday which my Doctor will be observing) I am planning on walking 20 miles a day. And doing squats. And eating Lasagna. And sex.

My twin girls decided that September was better then november. They were born on 9/10 at 30w 4 d and they will be 4 weeks tomorrow.
Both are still in the NICU, but one should be coming home in a few days.

36 weeks and I'm faring well. Baby was breech, and is now vertex (head down) so that's a huge relief. I had my baby shower, and everyone was so generous. I'm hoping and that I can make it to Nov 1 - and then I will be off. Everything is coming along pretty well.. 4 more weeks.. I can't believe it.

I am meeting a pediatrician on Monday, so hoping that goes well.
