not loving a house anymore
I LOVED a home, we went to see it twice and put a bid on it. we got a counter so we have to answer them back.
I'm feeling like I have a lot of reservations about the house now, and Don't really like it as much as I thought I did? I told DH I'm thinking of pulling the bid. But in the back of my mind I don't want to regret it, I must have really liked it to put a bid on it 
Has anyone gone through this?! what did you do?

yes i did have reservations about a house and our offer was accepted! but it turns out, the inspection fell through so we got out of it. A house is the biggest purchase you will ever make so you have to be certain that it is a house you can see yourself in. don't settle! you will find the home that is right for you.

Can you go see it again? Maybe it will remind you of why you put a bid on it in the first place. I often regret buying my house, I love the layout but it needed alot more work than I realized. But I'm stuck here until the market turns so please make sure you really love the house before making such a huge investment. I know you don't want to regret losing the house but you also don't want to regret purchasing it either.

Do you generally have a "buyers remorse" feeling about things? I do about almost everything and have learned to balance it. I remember getting the call from our RE Agent she happily said "Pop the Champaign your offer was accepted" and I thought Oh S**IT now we have to buy this house. It wasnt the house it was me I almost always have that reaction to things. DH had to talk me down.
We dont regret our decision. Be sure its what you want.

I think its mostly about "what if there is a better hosue out there" I was always doing that when we would put a bid in...I would def. try and schedule another viewing of the house and go from there.

go look at it again. (this way you put pressure on the sellers, that you are not really willing to pay that price and they might be more flexible if you counter-counter-offer)
maybe you loved the house at your offer price - not the counter offer?
I'm also a little like fran.

Not only is a home your biggest purchase but it is your biggest investment as well. If you do not get butterflies in your stomach when you think of moving in then do not settle. I am sure you did not marry your husband because you were ready for marriage and he asked a few times so you said yes. Same goes for your home together. If it is not 100% "YOU" then look around a little more.
Another thing you may want to try is to make another appointment with you RE Agent and see the home again.

all of you are right! we decided to let it go. we already saw it twice, and I just feel like for the $ there is something better out there for us. A Erica said something about the price, I think that is what the issue is for me. It was great for a certain price, now w/ the counters it's not such a good deal anymore. We shall keep looking
