Not a good visit to the docs yesterday for Jade and Lea
I took them both for their physicals yesterday ,and Jade has asthma induced bronchitis and Lea's vision is 20/50  I called the school nurse to let her know about the both of them ,and she then tells me that at Lea's visit last yr her vision was 20/40 .... well why didn't the doc tell me? Lea has been having ALOT of problems in school ,and might even be left back ! I'm not saying her vision has everything to do with it ,but I know it played a big roll in her reading and writing problems ! I feel like I failed my daughter by not thinking of this

Give yourself a little break. There is nothing that could be done for the bronchitis.. and the vision is something you didn't know about! And 20/40 is considered passing vision I think.. I know that my vision only needs to be corrected to 20/40 for me to drive.
I'm worse.. the school TOLD me Robbie failed a vision screening and I didn't take him to the doctor until he failed the following year.. and his vision? 20/200! IN BOTH EYES!

Thank you ! The nurse told me 20/40 is failing ,and she says that alot of parents aren't told by the doc by that point,but I would have liked to know so I could have brought her to be checked ! My sister and I both wore glasses that is why I am kicking myself in the arse ..isn't it hereditary?
Was there a difference in his learning?
