North Shore University Hospital manhasset- who delivered there

Sorry i am new to new york so i dont really understand which hospital this is? is this the Manhasset one or Great neck? or what?

And did anyone deliver in this hospital, can you tell me about its delivery ward?


Edit: Please tell me about the quality of the staff and high techness of the delivery area. ANd just neatness and overall quality of that hspital

LIJ is on lakeville rd in new hyde park... north shore university hospital is on community drive in manhasset... They are all part of the same health system and typically are called nslij.
my sil deivered at lij and loved it... both hospitals are in the middle of renovating to make new maternity suites...

i delivered ds in 2008. i think at that time i didn't noticed any renovations.

i had a good experience.

oh..i made a comment to a nurse and she said that north shore is like a 5-star resort of all the hospitals i guess it's b/c all these rich people that goes there so they have to be on top of things otherwise, they probably will bet b*tch out.

yah i decided to drive there because all the rich people go there.

I noticed that usually rich people dont go to bad places. I am so far from being rich but i can deliver there too :)

I delivered my DD at LIJ. The labor and delivery staff there is amaaaaaazing!!!!

I had a bad experiences with the nurses on the NICU floor - but I am sure that was an exception - not the rule. They have a very high quality staff there.

That being said, I changed dr's after I had my dd and my new obgyn is affiliated with NS Manhasset. I had emergency surgery there in June and the hospital was AMAZING - the staff was amazing and even my husband commented on how great the waiting area was, internet connections, semi private waiting area (in the ER), food, fridges, etc...

and hey, J-LO delivered there...if it's good enough for her, it's good enough for me!

My friend delivered there yesterday. I used to work there and it is an excellent hospital. I would have been delivering there if I did not move.

North Shore is on Community Drive in Manhasset - though very close to Great Neck

I just had my son at NS Manhasset 3 weeks ago and was very pleased with my experience.

the nurses were incredible as were the rest of the staff. My room was swept everyday and the garbage was emptied.

Has anyone seen the J. Lo suite? This is the one that I am interested in learning more about. I can't seem to find any pictures online.

I delivered both DC there and had fabulous experiences both times. If anyone has any specific questions just FM me.

I just had DS in April, a few months after J LO. I actually asked the nurses what it was she was like and they said she was great.

The smallest private room is $570 per night.
It's tiny, basic room. The next room is $740 per night. That one comes with a better bed and dining option (for mom only) from a menu.
There are more rooms/suites that go up to $1700 per night.
