non-alcoholic wine?
I just found out I'm pregnant and we're not telling anyone until we see the doctor. Tomorrow we're having a BBQ and I thought I'd get some non-alcoholic wine to try so no one will question why I'm not drinking. I also wouldn't mind a taste of it ;) Has anyone had it? Is it good? Does it really have NO alcohol?

Re: non-alcoholic wine?
They do 2 whites and a red at at Trader Joes, I think they might have like a smidgen of alcohol in them, maybe less than 1/2 of 1% - check the bottle. I have tried both the white wines and to be honest are just about palatable with soda in them, but you could mix some juice & fresh fruit in the red and make a sangria?
With anything that states its non-alcoholic always check the label, some have a negligable amount and some really have none.

Re: non-alcoholic wine?
i've had a non-alcoholic beer while pregnant, which was okay but not great... it did satisfy my beer craving, though.

you were pregnant when you had it? it's safe to drink even if there is the faintest amount in there? I'm only about 5 weeks.

Re: non-alcoholic wine?
Yes I had a couple of glasses up until I was about 8 weeks and then it made me gag (its really not that nice).
Could you made a punch and keep a non-alcoholic version just for you, maybe then people won't notice, or get a non-alcoholic beer and pour it into a glass?
