Noise machines? Music?

A couple of people told me their humidifier makes noise which helps the baby sleep, since we already are using a humidifier that has no sound i was thinking of trying a noise machine. any suggestions?

Even CDs?

We used white noise CDs a lot in the beginning. Now we mostly use the Fisher Price Aquarium in his crib. I ordered a few white noise CDs from Amazon. They were great! Good luck!

We put a radio on in DS's room, it is on all night low, so any noise outside is muffled. Works great for us.

Re: Noise machines? Music?

I have a noise machine in both girls rooms - it is just white noise and I turn it on when I put DD in her crib for naps or down for the night - it stays on all night or all nap and I turn it off when she wakes up. It is GREAT!!! She sleeps SO much better and the baby is waking less (she used to wake every time we walked down the hall or moved around downstairs).

I got mine on amazon.com - I can send you the link to it if you are interested. I had a sleep sheep that made various noises but they turn off after a bit and then I would have to turn it back ON if they woke up and it was off so that didn't work for us.

I'll be honest, we just use a little black fan. It circulates the air in the room and makes a nice humming sound. Keeps him asleep!

Re: Noise machines? Music?

In DD's room we have the humidifier and a white noise machine going.

In our room (where DD#2 sleeps) we have a noise machine and a fan going.

I'd love this link. I have a sleep sheep in both boy's rooms. Works fine for Ryan but once it goes off, Colin wakes up. I need something that runs all night.

Re: Noise machines? Music?

Up to 3 months, we used the Sleep Sheep. Worked great for DD- it can stay on for 15 or 45 mins. She was fine once it went off, she was out.

Now, I have the humidifier going. We have the Vicks Cool Mist. Not the best as far as moisture goes, I don't think, but it is LOUD. We keep in on the MED setting - the high is SO LOUD DH thinks it will hurt her hearingChat Icon

I have the homedics sound spa lullaby with projector...I love it! DS falls asleep usually watching the projector on the ceiling and he LOVES the rain and ocean sounds. It plugs in and you can have it on all night or set it to go over after 15, 30, 45, or 60minutes.

(I got it at bed bath and beyond)
