no longer sleeping at nap time

opinions needed please. DD has stopped sleeping for naps. she has always been a champion napper, very regular and never goes in with a problem. well, she still goes in super easily but she is not actually sleeping while shes in her crib for her afternoon nap. she reads and plays with her bunny but hasn't actually slept for the past two days. does this mean she is dropping her nap? is it a temporary phase? i love that she is in her crib happily and quietly because god knows i need the break her nap provides me, but i feel bad that shes up there for almost two hours and hasnt slept at all. thoughts??

Re: no longer sleeping at nap time

If she is just 2, I think she probably still needs the nap. If shes playing quietly, there is nothing wrong with a little down time. Did she have an "easy" morning?

I have twins that are almost 2yrs. (22 months) One of them continues to fight a nap & refuses to go in crib anymore except at bedtime. Against better judgement, he occasionally starting to nap on couch. UGH...I hope this doesn't turn into problem

Re: no longer sleeping at nap time

My DD went through a weird phase at the age of 2 where she stopped napping then we converted her crib to a full sized bed and she started napping again. She's 3 years 3 months old now and has been taking 3 hour nap every day this summer!
