Re: NJ girls--where do you shop for furniture?

I've shopped around... our couches and chair in the basement are from Levitz as is our dining room set. Our bedroom set is from Raymour and Flannigan (I cannot say enough nice things about that place, we had such a great experience), and other odds and ends around the house I've gotten from JCPenny Home.

Value City Furniture is nice too...that's where we got our Broyhill bedroom set. I looked at Bob's and although the prices were great, I was not sure about the quality.

I actually agree to disagree! Chat Icon

Our bedroom furniture is super sturdy and really well made.

In fact, I was annoyed that we bought our living room stuff at LazBoy instead of going to Bob's first.

There are some cheesey pieces there, but the leather and other stuff is nice. You just have to really look.

HTH!

I think there are 2 different value city places that aren't related. I've been to the one in East Brunswick. I remember them having a lot of Broyhill stuff. Here's a list of their NJ stores Value City

I've done that Chat Icon I love the on the house cafe

I haven't bought anything from them yet but, I am planning on it, I saw some bedroom sets I liked but, they wouldn't fit right into our bedroom and I haven't had a chance to go back since then.

It's funny, I've actually been lucky with Ikea for a lot of things. I've had the same dresser for 10 years now and it's still in great shape Chat Icon Chat Icon

Not sure where in NJ you are, but Macy's Furniture up north in Paramus has a big selection. I've also looked in Thomasville, which is right next door (but they have other locations).

I haven't found anyplace in NJ that has lots of stores like Route 110 - I wish they had it here.

Not quite like Rt. 110, but there are a bunch of furniture places on Rt.46 around the Willowbrook mall (west of it)
