Nick Lachey Describes 'Fantasy' Moment He Saw Bride Vanessa Minnillo (w/ pic!!)
When Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo wed July 15 on Sir Richard Branson's private Necker Island, they incorporated what the Caribbean island had to offer along with traditional elements they both envisioned.
"I wanted to be in that long traditional wedding gown with heels and I wanted my groom in a tux and shoes and not barefoot on the beach," says Minnillo. The new Wipeout host, 30, wore a two-piece Monique Lhuillier ensemble and diamond stud earrings that Lachey gave her during their first year as a couple.
"There was just something so timeless, beautiful and romantic about having that element of a traditional wedding," she says.
The moment Lachey, 37, saw his bride for the first time was a moment he'll never forget. "It literally took my breath away," he says. "It's a moment you fantasize about, and I was certainly not disappointed."
Celebrity wedding planner Sharon Sacks created a four-day celebration for their 35 guests that reflected the couple's fun-loving and relaxed wedding attitude.
Things were "eerily calm," says The Sing-Off host of the days leading up to their island nuptials.
"We realized it wasn't about stressing over how many tiers there were on the cake," joked Minnillo. Added Lachey: "We're determined to have a great time no matter what!"

It's just strange to me for him to be talking about the fantasy moment taking his breath away when he saw Vanessa for the first time.
I mean, that video from when he got married to Jessica Simpson and he saw her coming down the aisle and you could see him catch his breath was amazing. It's strange for him to now be talking of that same moment with his second wedding. I mean, he has every right. To me, it doesn't make as much of an impact because I have that moment when he married Jessica in my mind.

Me too. I also feel like her dress and look is strangely similar to Jessica's. For some reason, I still can't picture him with anyone else besides her.

His reaction to seeing Jessica coming down the aisle was priceless to me. It was one of the most touching things I have seen. You could see the emotion in his face, the fact that she had taken his breath away. As a girl wanting the perfect wedding, it was something that just forever imbedded itself into my memory. That's why it's hard for me to hear him talk about it while he marries someone else! Nothing will compare to his reaction to Jessica!

I remember his face when JS was walking down the aisle too and I don't think it's strange for him to feel that again this time around. The woman he is in love with and has been with for a long time is walking down the aisle to marry him. I think any man loses his breath in that moment, regardless if it's happened to them before or not, jmo.
I think they look great and very happy. I hope this one lasts

Oh, don't get me wrong, I said in my post that he has every right to feel that way again, I cant take that away from him... I just think as outsiders who saw his reaction to Jessica Simpson, that is something we remember, something that was just so sweet and pure. For me, I can't separate that moment from him and JS together and it wouldn't be the same seeing him do it with another woman!

I just looked up the Nick and Jess wedding video...WOW! 1. She was a gorgeous bride
2. I saw that breath he took. It was a doozie. But now I'm thinking that as he watched her and took that breath, maybe he was thinking "Oh crap!"
Although it seems hard to "top", it's definitely possible! 
Hopefully Vanessa gives him that feeling everyday
