Nice Park with playground
Can anyone recommend a nice one in Nassau. Now that the weather is getting nicer and Mason is older I would love to take him to parks and put him on the swings or something.
I live in Lynbrook, but don't mind traveling if it's worth it.

The one in Valley Stream is nice - they won't ask for passes until June, so you should be able to get in there until then.

There's that park on Peninsula, just a little north of Hempstrad Ave - looks cute!
There's also one right by me in Gibson!

Seriously... I introduced him to places. His family did the beach club every summer. It's like they fear change...
Oceanside Park, it's nice, there is a playground area and a pool...I don't go to the pool but the playground area isn't bad at all...I also take DD to the playground off the boardwalk in LB on magnolia, when it's warm out...Oceanside park is in the back of Oceanside right by the middle school if you know where that is

Grant Park in Hewlett, right off of Broadway..Love this park and they have a nice lake to walk around, was just there Monday!
Bay Park in East Rockaway is great too!!
both parks also have a sprinkler when it gets warmer out.
Oceanside Park is also wonderful!

On Merrick Road - you can walk around the park without a pass, but to park in the lot or use the pool and sprinkler park you need permits, and you need to be a Valley Stream resident or a guest of a VS resident with passes in order to enter.

I snuck in there a couple of times. Just walked around. They never checked when I walked with my friend, but I noticed they check in the summer.

I like Cedar Creek Park...It has different sections for different ages. It has picnic tables and a lot of grassy area's. When I worked as a nanny in Wantagh, I used to go there all the time....
