Nice hotels in NYC
I am looking to stay near midtown, I dont want a dive though lol

I always love the Bryant Park Hotel. The rooms are a nice size and the Cellar Bar is downstairs, which is a nice lounge. Also - there is a Doubletree in midtown I've stayed at before and it was nice and clean.

I just stayed at the Affinia Shelbourne on Lex and 38th and it was very very nice.
