newborn vomiting in carseat
wondering if it is just my DD in the past week, she has spit up entire bottles on 4 occasions in the carseat. At first I freaked thinking maybe it was motion sickness because it happened on a long car ride from NY to CT. The second time was before we even got her in the car and the third was about 30 mins after being out of the car so I don't think its motion. Fourth - can't remember. I've lost track.
Could it just be the positoning? She does tend to slide down and get a little bit squished into a "fetal" position.
I took all the maufacturer infant pads out to give her more room to lay flat - a shot at being less squished. Ped approved this.
I PRAY she does not have motion sickness She does have reflux so maybe that has something to do with it? I am so tired of taking apart the carseat to wash it

B would spit up pretty far after eating too. I once put them in the car, ran to get my bag, and came back to the smells of amiumentum. Luckily it was on the leather seat back and the bundle me and the had a cardi I just tok off. All of her issues worsened at 6 weeks too but got better little by little after 2.5 mo.

its unreal. yesterday we went to get Grace's christening dress. I fed her at 11 and left by 11:45, got my mom and we went. Finished shopping, went next door for lunch and at 2:10 she puked an entire bottle - just sitting in the carseat. She was in the seat from 11:45-2:11 (after I took her out lol). 2.5 hours later? An entire bottle? Really?! Seems like Grace and Brielle are the same baby

Re: newborn vomiting in carseat
Sometimes I think it was gas or a wet burp and she got scared and it just came up. Did you try gas drops? My ped said they are pointless but I really saw a difference when I did the axid and maalox 3x per day, gas drops in every bottle religiously. Idk if it was also a combo of her holding her body up better by 2.5 mo though. Now she gets the burps up easier because she moves more. But the other night she fell asleep while eating and I think she woke up not expecting a bottle in her mouth and gagged on it and bam! the whole bottle..All over DH.
I even tried the cereal but I had to use a level 4 nipple and she got it too quick and spit up anyway.
ETA sometimes it looks like an entire bottle but its not. The other night it looked like an entire but she still had 3 of 6 oz left in the bottle so it was just 3 oz.

Re: newborn vomiting in carseat
she just did it again
i had to drive to ronkonkoma to pick something up and we got there, i got what I needed and she was fine. I pull out of the drive way, 10 ft down the road she puked up her bottle Had to drive 25 mins home with her covered in formula.
im worrying about pyloric stenosis and motion sickness at this point. its not every bottle but it is becoming more frequent. Now 1 bottle per day I would say. I don't know if the car is making it worse but it ususally (75%) of the time happens there Just gave her a second bath of the day and am washing her carseat insert AGAIN (third day in a row).
im just so beat down at this point.
