Newborn sleep stretches?
When did your baby start sleeping longer at night. We occasionally get 4 hour stretches. Do you remember when cd started sleeping like 5-6 hours at a time?? Ds is 3 weeks. Momma needs sleep lol

Re: Newborn sleep stretches?
3 weeks is early. My girls were a month early and pretty much slept feeding to feeding til 3 mo. Around 7 weeks they dropped their 12:30 am feeding which meant they ate at 9:30 then slept til the 4:30 feeding.

Both my girls were sleeping 6+ hour stretched by 2 months. They both also stopped doing that at 4 months though!

Newborn sleep stretches?
My LO is 2.5 months. He does 4 hour stretches. Just started at the 2 month mark.He is EBF. Not sure if that makes a difference but I believe formula fed babies tend to sleep longer because formula isn't digested as quickly.

Same here! He'd have a good few weeks and then go back to being an awful sleeper for 1-2 months! Finally, after he turned a year, he started to STTN. Now, he wakes up between 5:15 and 5:45 am ...

Newborn sleep stretches?
DS was a month early so he had some catching up to do, I think by about 6 weeks he was sleeping 5-6 hours, then by 2 months it was a solid 6 hours. By 3 months he was inching up to 8 hours, and by 4/5 months he started sleeping a solid 10 hours. He still does, but at 7 months he had a tooth cutting and it's not that he wakes up but he cries through his sleep some nights in pain. The paci helps him.

Re: Newborn sleep stretches?
Every baby is different, and every night is different. I think DS started giving me 5 hour stretches around 5 or 6 weeks. By 11 weeks he was giving me 6-8 hours, I think.
DD is 3 weeks old now, too. Last night I got one 5 hour stretch from her, which was AMAZING, followed by 2.5 hours. But I know that won't be consistent for a while.
Usually around 6-8 weeks babies start to organize day and night and become capable of slightly longer stretches. Around 12 weeks it should hopefully get better, though every baby is different.
Hang in there. I'm right with you and it's tough! But it's true that new mommies forget how hard the beginning is...which is why we decide to do it again!

Newborn sleep stretches?
DD will be 6 weeks on Sunday and she *usually* will sleep a 5-6 hour stretch at some point during the night (although the times it happens varies). She slept 8 hours the other night and of course it was a fluke and hasn't happened again since then. I kept checking to make sure she was breathing because I couldn't believe it!
