newborn poop question
DS is 9 days old and is BF and FF. More on the formula side.
His poop is totally loose, very wet. I am worried that the formula is messing with him.
My DD never nursed much so I don't remember her poop being so loose.
Is this common with babies that get a good amount of breast milk? Or should I consider switching formula?
He does get gassy and fussy at times, but not with every feeding.
Any feedback?

What formula are you using? I often see watery poop when babies are using Sim. Early Sheild b/c of the prebiotics - I don't see it as much with Enfamil premium.
It should be yellowish and seedy from bm but not liquid.

Oh that diaper decoder has me stressed that he could be dehydrating from the loose poop. I called the ped, and I am going to try Gentlease formula tonight.

ds was ff and bf (more bf) the first month too and he had a dirty diaper at every diaper change and his poop was loose (TMI) and wet. i thought he pooped too much! I asked the ped about it and he reassured me it was ok bc bm is a natrual laxative
Once i stopped bf'ing he started pooping once a day.

keep in mind bf babies have yellow seedy poop. And it is loose which is why bd babies have so many blow outs. Maybe your lo is getting more breast milk then you think.

BF poop is very loose but if it seems mucousy then it could be a dairy sensitivity.
Besides it being watery and loose what does it look like, color, is it seedy?
