newborn photographer
So I live in NVA and have been looking into a newborn photographer. This is definitely not as popular here. I was just given the pricing for a newborn package from the photographer and am floored. The sitting fee is $250 which seems reasonable but rights to the pictures alone is $1400 I was kind of shocked with this price. Does this seem high or is the going rate in NY as well?

I thought so. My choices are limited down here. I just got nervous when I saw the pricing and was hoping that that was not the "norm".
Thanks for the reply I was starting to get nervous that I couldn't afford something that I was so heart set on

I know a great one in MD (Howard County), if that's not too far. Check out Allison Wist, no idea about prices, but she's a friend of mine.

She is my BIL wedding photographer for this summer in D.C. He says she is awesome. Defin worth a look. Hope that helps. If you find anyone your interested in with a good price let me know. I am in nova also, and not sure if we are going to do a session yet. I think I am going to wait and do a first birthday session w/ summer in NY next June.

I booked with Labor of Love. There was an amazing deal on LivingSocial for only $125 and that included 25 digital images. I don't know what her prices are normally, but you may be able to use the Living Social deal as a negotiation tool. I think she's based out of Silver Spring, but she works any where in the metro area.

More out of the park quotes today! I found one that is reasonable but she prefers to shoot at her studio. I am not sure how I feel about that. Thoughts?

I fell in love with little moon really expensive. Exactly what I am looking for

Check out these they are in the running for being more reasonable.
The first one prefers the studio (the pics of the studio are on the website) but she will come to the home for $50 more
