Newbie: Trying for Timing???

This is the first month DH and I tried to time to TTC during ovulation (O). I took the kit and it came up negative on Friday, positive Sat and Sunday and negative this afternooon.
I am sure I did O yesterday and DH and I got to BD in between on Sat and this morning (Mon) at 6:30am. Was it too late to BD since I already Oed yesterday.
Are my chances good?? Thanks for any help! I am new to this TTC and would like to "nail" (literally) it first shot, although I know it could take months and years I am trying to be optimistic. How long should I wait? I was going to test on fourth of July??? Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

You were ok with timing...Honestly I would wait to test until AF is late in order to avoid any disappointment. There is nothing like getting excited while peeing on a stick only for it to say "not pregnant". Hang in there and try to keep your mind on other things so you're not too tempted to test!
Good luck!!

Re: Newbie: Trying for Timing???

Supposedly the best time to BD are the days leading up to O and the day of O. That's why watching your CM is so important when TTC. Your CM will tell you when O is approaching and when your peak day is. If you haven't already done so, read Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It's a great book. Keep in mind that even with perfectly timed BD, your chances of conceiving every month are only about 30%. I wouldn't test until AF is late. If you start to test earlier you will make yourself crazy.
