Newbie
Hi ladies, I'm new to the TTC board. I'm 34 yrs old and DH and I just started actively TTC this month. I have irregular cycles (27-33 days) so I am trying to figure out the best way to know when I ovulate. Right now I use a calendar app (not very reliable) but I am going to try temping. In the meantime I was wondering what's the best/most reliable OPK to get and is online the best place to get them? Do you ladies do the test while at work??
Thanks!!

Re: Newbie
Before I bought the CBEFM I used the digital clearblue easy OPK's. If it's not digital I find it hard to interpret but they can get pretty pricey. I test using FMU but some OPK's tell you to not use FMU so you have to read the directions on whatever OPK you buy. You certainly don't have to test at work, you can test before or after. Good luck!

Re: Newbie
27- 33 days is still regular..if u r getting it between those days i would not worry
imo the best opks r the digital ones and i think they r cheapest on amazon
lots of girls swear by the CBEFM also
best of luck!

Welcome!!
I used Answer (brand) OPK, which was somewhat challenging for me to read. I *may* get a digital monitor in the near future.
Good luck!!

Thanks ladies, that's helpful! I may try a digital OPK next month then.

Re: Newbie
welcome! I like the First Response Ovulation tests (you ovulate when YOUR pink line is darker then the test line --- once you see it you know when it is darker) and the Clear Blue Easy digital ones -- can't misread as it gives you a when ovulating -- but are pricey!!

Re: Newbie
hello hello
27-33 days doesnt seem irregular
i usually have a 27 day cycle but every once and awhile i get a 25 or 31
i use the digital smiley keep in mind it doesnt tell you if you O it just tells your surge is high.
tempin is the only way to tell if you O(or blood work) but you need to do it every day at the same time. with at least 3 hours of uninterupted sleep
check out fertility friend
good luck
