Re: New to Massapequa Plainedge SD area
We are in N Massapequa...
deli - Sequa (awesome!) pizza - Crostini (Broadway and Beech)..best, definitely better than Phil's. Phil's pasta and stuff if always super oily lately chinese - Jen's (by Marshall's), Green tea cafe sushi - Kiku Family Sushi (Broadway & N Pine) all take out - taco joes, all american dry cleaners - the one in the marshalls shopping cebter car wash - we go to Cottage in bethpage since its near work and we get a discount pharmacy - duane reade (by Sequa) nail salon - Venus, they are def the best! took a long time for me to find one i liked (on Broadway btwn n pine and beech) butcher - Enzo's (on 107, by Behrs), Primavera (mandee's shopping center) bakery - Princess (I hate the name, but they are actually really good, by Marshall's), San Remo (great for canolis and bread, cake ok) etc.
ETA: enzo's has the best fresh mozz i have ever had (may family agrees... dad was born in italy... we love all things italian and are picky about it all!)

Re: New to Massapequa Plainedge SD area
deli - Broadway Deli (on Broadway)
pizza - Mario's (on Broadway). DH also loves Frank's Pizza (also on Broadway). It's a little hole in the wall but it is pretty good, I have to admit
chinese - Empire (lol - not exactly sure where they are b/c we just always order for delivery)
sushi - don't eat it so no suggestion
all take out - OMG there are tons - way too many to list
dry cleaners - I always forget the name of it but it's in the shopping center where Mandees, Harmon's and Waldbaums is (corner of Jerusalem and Hicksville Road)
car wash - Bethpage Car Wash (Hemp Tpke next to Wallgreens)
pharmacy - CVS (Broadway - across from Massapequa train station)
nail salon - soooo many - I use Angel Tips in the Cherrywood Shopping center (corner of Jerusalem and Wantagh Ave, but there are a ton closer to my house - I just didn't like any of them)
butcher - not sure - honeslty never used but I could use a rec on this too
bakery - SanRemo Bakery (Broadway b/w N. Beech and N. Pine) and Princess Bakery (Corner of Jerusalem and Hicksville Road in the Ace shopping center)
Good Luck and welcome to the neighborhood!!

Re: New to Massapequa Plainedge SD area
We moved away almost 5 years ago, but is Fra Amici pizza still there? (it was near the Mobil station & 7-11 on Broadway) That was really good.

Re: New to Massapequa Plainedge SD area
deli - totally agree with PP - Seaqua! I have cravings for their bavarian macaroni salad.
pizza - Umbertos in Wantagh (in the shopping center on Wantagh Ave & Jerusalem)
chinese - Great Asian (Merrick Rd in seaford)
sushi - still looking
nail salon - I don't remember the name, pink nails or fancy nails. It's right by Seaford HS on Washington Ave
butcher - Salpino or Iavarone
bakery - we used Slap Happy on Wantagh Ave and the cake was delicious. The only down side is that the place is small so there isn't much offered.
If you ever go out to eat I recommend cara mia due and butera's

Sequa is directly across from ACE shopping center
There is a blockbuster, a payless and duane reade in the shoppping center
Its directly south of it, on the south side of jeruselum, its really the best deli!
