Hello All!

I am sort of new to this site. Was always in the background. Figured time to join the posting.

Been trying to conceive for about 2 1/2 years. Already have a 4 year old son so now I am considered secondary infertile. Very frustrating.

We got tested with a RE last year. Results were lower than normal sperm count for the hubby with some extra abnormal ones. I came back pretty good except my ovulation is so abnormal. One month my cycle last 29 days then the next will be like 36. They believe on the long months I don't ovulate at all. They suggest going right to IUI. My insurance covers no infertitly expenses except testing so all will have to be out of pocket. My OB can do the IUI in the office so we are going to stick with her.

My husband want to try just Clomid first hoping we won't have to go any other route. So far, took for 2 months and got my period today. So upset Chat Icon

I am grateful that I have my son but I still feel horrible every month when that period comes. I always imagined that I would have a big family. And now it's so upsetting. My emotions are all over the place: I am angry at every pregnant women I see, especially my sister who is 3 years younger and pregnant with her 3rd. Every time she complains about it I want to deck her. Angry at my husband for not really understanding that I don't what to wait and try instead of just going right to the IUI. Upset and sad almost all the time because I am angry. Ugh...

And sick of people asking when I am having the next one. Why do people feel the need to ask that? I know they are being nice, but it's like what do you say? And then there are the ones who do know the situation and say "You should just relax and try not to think about it, it will just happen". Easier said then done.

I am sorry if I sound like a whiner and complainer. I just need somewhere to vent and people around me I think are tired of hearing about it.

I wish all of you happy trying and dust!!

Many of us on the infertility board are going through the same thing. If you want you should post there, too.
Good luck!
