Point Pleasant is my #1 favorite shore destination outside of Cape May. I think Seaside is a bit more "clubby" -- the last time I was there five years ago it was a lot of partying.

We now go to Point Pleasant - I think its more family friendly.

Being I live in SI, we are always at the Jersey Shore. John loves Point Pleasant. JEnkinsons has a great aquarium and they have some great rides. Seaside is fun too, but I prefer Jenks and Pt Pleasant

The aquarium is nice - tons of walking on the boardwalk and Jekinsons is fun. The majority of the time will be enjoying the beach and ocean. Have fun!

I've never been to Seaside, but PP has a lot of fun stuff for kids.

I would say Point Pleasant. There is a lot more to do with kids.

Seaside is too many teens-20's partying

Also consider Ocean City, NJ - it's a little further south, but a much nicer beach. A lot of families there, since it is 'dry town.' They also have a water park.

Here is a link to the attractions. link

We just got back from there last night. I've been there every summer for 25 years and I'd have to say that PP is better for a family atmosphere. SSH is better for a 'couple' night.

Point Pleasant. We go every year. My inlaws have a house and my DD loves it!
