New home cleaning questions . . .

We're moving into our new house this week and are hiring a crew to clean. The prior owners kept the place spotless, so there probably isn't a lot of dirt to clean but I want everything disinfected and deep cleaned regardless. I'm trying to put together a list of what I want done and how. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! I have a few questions though . . .

1. Can you disinfect wood floors? I've never cleaned wood floors before so I'm not sure what products are out there. Do any of them disinfect? Any recommendations?

2. Is it crazy to have them wash the walls? I always thought you paint when moving into a new house to clean it up (and we will in some rooms) but a few of the rooms have very nice faux paint jobs that DH wants to keep as is. Has anyone here had a cleaner wash their walls?

3. Any recommendations on products to wash wood cabinets in and out

That's all I can come up with for now. TIA for any suggestions!

Disinfecting wood floors info:

Cleaning walls for me, would depend on how unclean they are, if there were smokers/pets in the house, because of my extreme allergies. My Mom use to spring/fall clean, washing walls/ceilings!!!!

When I cleaned our Daughter's apt., before she moved in, and was told it had been cleaned, I found lots of dirt, dust bunnies, and yukky things, in the tracks of sliding closet doors, so I cleaned those places. Also, for me, it's important to move appliances out to clean underneath. When we rented yrs. ago, we moved the stove out, and there were piles of sawdust, and remnants from putting in the kitchen, that had never been cleaned!!!

Hope these help!!! Mary
