Questions to ask during home inspection
We put an offer on a house that was accepted. Today is the inspection--are there any questions I should ask or any things I should be asking the inspector to look for or is it just a standard procedure?

We asked questions as we followed our inspector around. Depending on what came up. Just ask the inspector if you can ask questions as you follow him around. Some of them don't mind you following & asking questions, but some do mind. Ask anything you want really! GL!

please please please ask questions because our inspector was horrible  he missed so many things. make sure he turns on the hot water to check the hot water heater for a while. ours was leaking but only when you ran the hot water for a while and we didn't find out until after we closed good luck!!

The inspector should point out to you anything to be concerned about. You should definitely be there and bring anyone with you who may be knowledgeable about homes as well. My dad and DH were with the inspector when he did his inspection. Also, please make sure that plumbing is checked (let water run from all fixtures for at least 10-15 minutes). Our inspector missed major leaks in the showers of 2 of our bathrooms. It was not good. The repairs were thousands of dollars!!
