new here, sort of
hi ladies... i am quite the lurker, just got up the courage to post for the first time. i am not actually TTC yet, but FH and i (wedding is in october) decided to start trying right away - as in, he wants a honeymoon baby  my doctor said i should be off BC for at least one cycle before we actually TTC - how long did it take you to get a period after going off BC? (i have been on consistently for 9 years)

welcome! I went off BCP after about 10 years of taking and it took about 35 days for my first AF, but i was irregular to begin with before going ton BCP. Good luck!!

Welcome...
I was on the pill for 10 years straight, the first 4 month my cycles were 29 days then it started getting later and later...currently I have been having 41 days then 34 then 41 then 30...

This is my third month off the pill and I got my period 31 days after stopping. The second month my cycle was 29 days.

I was on BCP for almost 10 years. My first month off it took me about 28 days to get AF, then for the next 3 months after that it was only 25 days.

hello i was on the patch for about 5 years and it took 3 cycles to become normal, now we are officially ttc, i would definitely give yourself a few months off and use backup bc just to be safe
eta i got my period the next cycle but the cycles were longer than usual and my period was very light

ditto. First cycle was 39 days, 2nd was about 48 days (got my BFP cycle 2).
