The only thing that I can think is that we're supposed to have another big "growth spurt" this week (between 13-15 weeks) and maybe my hormones are a bit out of whack. The last time I felt like this was around week 8 or 9 and I know that was a big "growing" week too...I'm know my body has been handling the normal amount of hormonal issues very well (no crying or angry emotional issues at all---and if it wasn't for the sore boobs, weight gain, and sono confirmation, I wouldn't even know I was pregnant this whole time!!). It's just when my munchkin is growing quickly in a short period of time that I feel like crap. So, hopefully this too shall pass in a couple of days!!! I hate feeling so useless.

Thats an excellent point. I never thought about it that way. Well grow baby grow. I will take this feeling if it has a reason like this. LOL.

That defiantly makes sense.. and makes me feel alot better know this!!! now im happy i was sick. Chat Icon

Great news!Chat Icon

Ok- I feel fine- now I am worried. Chat Icon I just started my second Trimester today and checked my weight at the Y. I still only have gained 1-2 pds. Shouldn't I have gained more weight by now? I know I did with my DD.Chat Icon

I know a lot of ladies who didnt gain any weight at all in the first trimester, in fact i know some who LOST weight. it is all normal. I gained 6lbs in my first trimester.. they say the 'average' is 2-4 but not norm.. we are fine!

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!

Hi guys. Next Tuesday is my NT scan. I can't wait, I am needing that extra bit of insurance that everything is ok. The good news is that I am officially 12 weeks today. Almost done with the first trimester and slowly getting some energy back.

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!

I'm closing in on 15 weeks (Monday! Chat Icon ) and I'm finally feeling somewhat like a human again, although the exhaustion this week is awful. But with the exception of about 10 minutes last night, no nausea! (knock wood!)

I go on 8/25 for my AFP/Quad Screen and will get the results at my 18 week appointment. Another 5 weeks to go until my Level II!

I'm in a "blah" state right now though. None of my clothes (shirts, skirts, dresses, pants, etc...) fit anymore and I'm finding I'm still too small for maternity clothes, so I'm kind of in limbo here at the moment, and just don't feel too good about myself right now.

I feel like total crap today. All day long I have this monster headache and my stomach will just not stay settled. I'm 13w3d. I guess I should have knocked on wood more when I had no m/s all the first trimester, I knew it was too good to be true.Chat Icon

On top of that, here's my fantastic news. I have to have a tooth pulled. I'm so upset and scared of the pain but the dentist said it can't wait much longer because it could become infected. I promise you-know-who up there that I will take better care of my teeth from here on out. Just please don't make this too painful!!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

None of my clothes fit except one pair of jeans. I did have to go out and pick something up and found that the maternity clothes are still big, mainly just the pants, but I found if you get pants that are made to fit under the belly, they work really well and are so comfy. Their small tops also work well. I living in the three tops I own, they still look like regular clothing.

Really?? Oh that makes me feel a little better. I've talked to a couple of girls on here that said it was awful since the only thing they could take was Tylenol. I hope it's not bad for me either.

Can I ask? What did they do afterwards? Did you get a dental implant? If so did you wait until after delivery for that or did you do something else?

I did not even need Tylenol the next day. I took it before the numbing agent wore off as a preventative, but when I woke up the next morning I was OK, and I just used an ice pack before I went to work.

I was scheduled to get the Dental Implant, but I got knocked up againChat Icon So I have a fake prosthetic that I wear sometimes. I usually don't b/c it is annoying & the tooth is a molar & you cannot see it unless you really look.Chat Icon

Mine's a molar too so I'm not worried about it cosmetically...but...is there like...a hole there, in your gums?? I guess I don't know what happens...he said he's yanking the whole thing out, root and all so I'm trying to figure out what goes there in it's place until i get the implant which won't be until after I have the baby.

No hole...the dentist put a bone graft in right away b/c I knew I was getting an implant eventually. It also prevented dry socket. It is perfectly flat and after the swelling went down (a day or 2 later) it felt perfectly normal.
