New car?

I was out perusing today...I have a VW convertable..and although it might be the favorite thing I own...I know I will have to part with it for the I was thinking one of those crosses between a mini van and an suv. Do you know what Im talking about? I want one with the TV in it too for later down the road during road trips. Anyone purchase a new car?

i purchased a dodge caliber. Its a "Crossover". Not quite a car, not as big as an SUV. I like it so far... Ive had it since December. Check out some sort of crossover if you arent into a big SUV. Goodluck!

we're going to shoot for getting a new car somewhere around October. Right now we have a Toyota Echo and a 2-seater pickup truck...so we're gonna need something a little bit bigger!

We are looking into the new Saturn SUV--hybrid, if we can afford it.

We purchased a Subaru Forester. LOVE it - it's considered a small SUV...drives like a car but has the height and room I wanted and it's great on gas.

We just got the GMC Acadia and LOVE it. We had a Nissan Murano and loved that as well. The Murano is a great crossover SUV!!

we purchased a ford explorer back in october right b4 i got my bfp, since we knew the family was hopefully going to be expanding and i wanted something safe for me in the bad weather. i love it! so roomy, and with a third row and all. but now the gas for it is increible with the new prices, arrggh! dh keeps complaining that its costing a fortune for this suv and the one he uses for work and says he is going to sell mine, and i am like, i dont think so!!!

fuel economy on many of these cars is not the best.... DH and I like to get the most fuel efficient things possible...

since we're only on #1, my prius is just fine... it's a mid-sized car with a large back seat and decent trunk space...

if we have another 1 or 2 croutons, and say we were in the market for a cross over / minivan today, we would almost certainly get the scion xB..... it's just large enough, yet still gets 28 mpg.

as more and more hybrids come to the market, we may end up with a hybrid... but we would never personally want to dip below 28 mpg.... for both $$ and ecological reasons....

My husband just got a pontiac torrent, truck feel not bad on gas and very roomy. Plus it was like $24K total reasonable, I think.

We decided to get a Camry (picked it up last night, yay!!) It has very good gas mileage and lots of space for baby gear and the 12 year olds baseball gear.

You can alwyas buy an over the seat DVD player if the vehicle you like doesn't come with a built in.

We got a Lincoln MKX. It's a crossover and I love it. I got it more for me than for baby though.

We are going to need something too since I drive a 2-door coupe. We've been also considering cross-overs and have test drove a few. But, we are also considering the gas price issue so might wind up with a sedan with good gas mileage, like a Camry. I have a Toyota now and love it so this might be our best bet for now.

I have a Suburban Z71. I love it. I would never and could never get a minivan. (no offense to anyone of course!) lol

I own a Mazda Tribute and I love it. It’s a small SUV by standard measurements but it has HUGE space when needed. Very nice ride and good on gas. It has optional AWD so I don’t have to always have that on – which saves on gas, but is useful for snowy days or slippery terrain. It’s the official kid car now and it’s meant to be puked on and messed up. We got it used but only one owner and it’s in great condition. After another 2 years its all mine. So I figure in another 3-4years I’ll buy another SUV when my kid is past the really scary messy stage.

I KNOW I’ve gotten my money’s worth out of this truck already with lugging nursery stuff, odd trips to IKEA, going to Maine, driving in Queens behind Shea where no one told me the road really doesn’t exist its just various levels of pot holes and most importantly – it probably saved my life when I was hit by a drunk driver!

I couldn’t justify buying new. I really couldn’t say I want my daily driver to be ‘off limits’ for my kids. I want them to live in it (ya know?) and I didn’t want to scream at them or worry every five seconds about stains, etc. So I got used. No damage, no stains, in GREAT condition. Then I used the stain guard on the fabric! Who the heck am I trying to impress in my mommy truck? It’s a functional SUV with lots of room and gets the job done.

Besides, I have as show off car (and a show car technically).

currently we lease an insanely overpriced E class benz, and its seriously a gas guzzler and we only drive on the weekends, since we both work in the city!!!!! The lease is up in Feb, but the baby is coming in Dec, so we've been discussing what we should get, we were looking into the infiniti FX or the new EX which is essentially the Murano, so if I do decide to be a SAHM, I think we may just go wtih the Murano, a lot of our friends love it...

We bought a Saturn Outlook last year after I had my daughter because I had a 2 dr Accord. I love it.

Im a momobile mom now I never wanted to be but with #3 on the way and the gas prices so high we got the Toyota Sienna and Im in love with it ! Its sharp looking for a momobile
