New & Nervous!
Hi ladies! I am a regular poster in the TTC/Infertility boards, but I am in hiding as some friends know my regular username. I just got my BFP on Tuesday and I am SO EXCITED!!!! :). I really don't want to be out in the open yet as I'm only 4w4d and it makes me nervous! This is the first time I have ever gotten a positive. :) My obgyn won't see me until 8 weeks. I had a few questions if you don't mind......
1. I feel great and have no symptoms (which also makes me nervous!) except some cramping. Can I continue to do my Zumba workouts? I haven't done anything except talking walks since my BFP.
2. I know I have to stay away from sushi, lunch meats, undercooked eggs and meat, aspartame, and unpasteurized cheeses. Any other suggestions of things to eat or not eat??
3. What about products? Should I switch to all natural facial cleanser and moisturizers?
Thanks so much in advance! I'm just nervous! :)

New & Nervous!
WELCOME AND CONGRATS!!!! I can't answer all the questions you have but I would say that when you call your OB to make a prenatal exam bring ALL questions with you. If you are coming off infertility then they might have different rules for you then they would for others. My friend is almost 7 months pregnant and she JUST stopped doing zumba but my other friend was high risk so she wasn't allowed to at all. Your doctor can answer your questions better then any of us can.
As for the foods, those are pretty much what I stayed away from. And I've heard no diet soda. O! And watch your caffeine intake.
And the products...my doctor didn't tell me to stay away from any kind of facial cleanser but I've read other girls are so hopefully someone else can help you on that. I did read to not use any body exfoliates.

Congratulations!!!
You can continue excersizing just don't over do it and drink lots of water
I think you've got the food covered.
And I never changed my facial products or mosturizers

Re: New & Nervous!
Welcome!!! I would read the ingredients on your facial cleansers very carefully. I had to change mine. Mine were class x meaning there were known risks to the fetus. If you aren't sure look it up or call your dr.

Re: New & Nervous!
What everyone else said. I use Cetaphyll (spelling) face wash. I was told to stay away from certain products by my first OB. Congrats. Happy and healthy pregnancy

New & Nervous!
Welcome and congrats!!
I did Zumba up to the day before my due date. Once you get further along, you should try to do all the moves low impact - no jumping around. You have to listen to your body and stop whenever you need to. My doctor was concerned about my heart rate getting too high so I tried to be mindful.

Re: New & Nervous!
welcome and congrats its only natural to be nervous around this time.
In regards to working out you should be ok if you do this regularly. If you don't workout often then I wouldn't stop working out until your doctor said its ok. I wanted to start working out after I got my bpf but my doctor said if I wasn't regularly working out she doesn't recommend it yet.
Good luck!
