I agree as well... plus, once you choose a name for the second baby, the names will "go together" no matter what. once she's born, it'll be "laila and nicola" and no one will think twice

Kids are individuals and therefore their names do not need to match their siblings...if this LO was a girl we were picking a name that my mother said didn't go with our current daughters name...my response was "Good, why should it!"
I think Nicola is a great name!

As long as both you and DH like the name, it does not matter what anyone else says, what anyone's opinion is, what anyone else thinks.

We might use Nicolo in memory of his father. We are discussing.

My boss has a Nicholas and they call him strictly Nico not Nick or anything like that. I think that's really cute.

Your kids names don't have to go together. this is why they always say don't tell people your names till the baby is born, everyone has a stupid opinion. I love the name Nicola and the nick name.

Exactly!!! You know what they say about opinions....
I think it's a beautiful name.
Side note: we told DH's aunt that we like the name "Domenica" if it's a girl....she said "I don't like that name...it reminds me of the Dominican Republic." Really? LOL....
