To sum it up, we are never getting his tax returns despite being promised we would once the audit was done and he never filed the necessary paperwork that separates his family from his businesses, which was part of an ethics agreement.

To me… If you have nothing to hide… What's the harm in releasing them like everyone else has?
Not releasing them is really suspect IMO
But whatev. We simply just can't see the good in him I guess

We need someone who can go on tv everyday and bully him into releasing them the same way he did to Obama about his birth certificate. What the hell is he hiding?
Trump supporters aren't you interested to see what is in his tax returns? I don't understand why all people aren't demanding it. Would you still support him if his tax returns showed something negative or a conflict of interest?

Everyone that's upset about this should be joining the aclu, signing their petition, donating if possible. They did file suits demanding his paperwork on day one.

I didn't vote for Trump. At this stage of the game why does anyone care about the tax returns? What's to find? That he took advantage of tax loopholes that exist legally? To jump up and down and scream that he didn't pay his fair share- don't we all know that already? He's not legally required to disclose them.

During the Mnuchin hearing it was asked how he could possibly ensure that Trump doesn't take advantage of his position for his own financial gain without knowing all of his financial interests. So there's one reason.

The fact that he is so unwilling to share them is a huge red flag for me. There has to be something in there he does not want revealed. It is pretty well known that he has foreign debt all over the place, and in 2008 his son said they had substantial business interests in Russia. So info relating to that wouldn't be a bombshell.
Regardless, I am not surprised he won't share them. He won and has no need to follow through on promises.

I don't condone making fun of people who voted for him. I don't agree but to this is a democracy and you can still vote for who you want. However I do not understand why you wouldn't care. Especially if they refuse to release them. Which most likely means they are hiding something from the American public. Why don't you care to see how the President is earning his money, if he is paying his fair share of taxes. Those things don't concern you?

Since this is directed at me I will say, I don't care. I have a right to my opinion. People who voted for him are too ignorant to care. They were too ignorant to see the racism, mysoginism, blatant disrespect for equal rights. They are not going to care about his tax returns being released.

We should be interested in see them, it's called transparency. We need to know if there are any conflicts of interest, what his foreign debts are etc. The system of checks and balances where ethics and transparency is preached in the government. It's unbelievable that there are folks who don't want to know.
I didn't ever once thought he would ever release them. I'm sure there's stuff he's hiding and didn't want the world to see if he didn't get elected and now that he's elected why would he want the world to see it? The man is a pathological liar, his supporters see what they want to see.

I think he has massive monetary ties to Russia, as well as many other countries. Even if he doesn't owe 30 years of political favors, he owes hundreds of millions of dollars to foreign countries, which I believe will absolutely affect the way he operates the government.
Until he can prove otherwise, that's 100% what I believe hiding his taxes indicates.

To me it's not about the fact that I need to see his returns.
It's about the constant lies he used to get elected and how he thinks he is above the law.
He is despicable and in three days of being President I'm mkre disgusted than I ever thought I could be.

I know plenty of good people who voted for him who I would never label as ignorant, misogynistic, prejudice, etc.
I don't think a presidential CANDIDATE needs to release his or her tax returns. I understand it's been tradition since the 1970's - I just don't agree that we need to know what a CANDIDATE did before he or she was elected.
From 2017 forward, it's a different animal. A sitting president should release his or her tax returns while in office for income earned WHILE in office.
