Never ask for prayers but need them for a dear friend
A family friend and neighbor for over 25 years has lost their baby girl yesterday. She was due on 12/24. My heart is heavy and we are all devestated to hear the terrible news.
if you have any extra prayers, please pray for the baby and her family.
eta: I just read Jennas post and from some of the replies a few of us know the families.
Many prayers to the family and friends of both families.

I have heard a lot of these tragedies are caused by undiagnosed clotting disorders. I don't understand why they don't make the thrombophilia workup routine
My heart goes out to your friend and her family.

This is exactly what happened to my sisters friend. she lost her son right b4 her dure date as well due to an undiagnosed clotting disorder.
WHile i dont know if this is the cause of the babys death, it should still be included in initial pregnancy bloodwork.
