Need trip ideas
We were scheduled to go on a trip to lake George this coming weekend for 4 nights with another couple
They have major flooding up there and powers out we had booked a cabin right on the lake I spoke with the place Where we are staying and it sounds bad
Were trying to figure out some alternative places to go in case it's not better by Friday
We would like to drive and not fly any where within 3 to 7 hr drive of long island. We would like to be able to kayak and do other outdoors stuff but are open to dong other things as well. We just want to get away and destress for a few days.
Any and all ideas welcome!!!! And any hotels/cabins/ etc are welcome as well!!

I don't know if those areas were hit badly...but those are a few places that come to mind..

What about doing an IoweU later on this fall and maybe just going out for a nice dinner locally?
I think anything within the tri-state area that is going to be within driving distance has been hit pretty hard.
If you wait another month or so, you can do the whole leaves/hiking/apple picking thing Upstate.
As of right now, I am Upstate and stranded because all of the highways are closed. I heard they just closed the Tappanzee too.
See the flooding damage alone in the Hudson Valley area, I can't imagine much will change by this weekend.

Where in fingerlakes?? They were not hit hard at all
We still want to go somewhere this weekend we all need this getaway just need alternate plan I spoke w someone in lake George who said by weekend it Should be fine
Sorry your stranded upstate :(

My sister Is in lake George now by the water they have no power but she said it's beautiful and they are having a great time, u can probably still go on Friday. She is coming back on friday

Were suppose to stay in bottom landing right on the lake. Did your sister say if there is flooding?? Also how is lake George village??? We do love it there
