I don't think my dad is helping him buy this- since he is getting a loan for 100%
- which makes me wonder why he has been taking my Dad's money for rent
Maybe so he can save up to buy the townhouse??

I Am sorryI dont mean no disrepect but your brother is spoiled and now he is taking advantage of your dad I agree it seems like the parents are harder on the girls than the boys my sister and I both had a hard time saving money but we did it!! now we have house's with our Dh's and was accepted for a mortgage without the help of our father and we paid for our wedding yes our parents helped a little but we paid our own with our dh's.he needs to stop depending on dad and let your dad enjoy his own money like i said i dont mean no disrepect.

That is crazy!!! I can't beleive they'd approve him for that mortgage but not a car!!!
I'm sorry your brother takes advantage like that!! I'm sure your dad just doesn't want to see his child struggle, but he really needs to make your bother see he has to do for himself sometime. Sadly, one day this will probably bite your brother in the a$$. He won't know how to support himself.
