Need some sippy cup help
I found out jordana is holding her bottle in daycare. I never give her a bottle at home so I just learned this.
I was trying to introduce the sippy cup- but she doesn't seem interested in water. I tried to get her to just hold it and she isn't interested in that either.
I have several options:
1. Fill it with breastmilk and give it to her 2. Keep introducing it with water 3. Give it to her empty to see if she starts to hold it 4. Give up for now.
What do you think?

Re: Need some sippy cup help
Trying giving her some breastmilk in it and see what happens. But from experience, don't push the sippy cup if she's not interested. Nate didn't take to the cup until he was 11 months and even then he only drinks milk or juice, the few times that I actually give it to him. And that's after trying 3-4 different brands. It turns out he liked the straw cups better.

Re: Need some sippy cup help
I always gave one to Noah from the time he was about 7 months, he was never interested, but I always gave it to him to play with! Now at 11 months, he finally gets it. So he is drinking from it all day long...
I would say give it to her to play with, but give her some time! It can take ages!

Re: Need some sippy cup help
I would introduce it to Ryan, he hated it, so I out it away for a couple of weeks and bring it out again. Well one day, about a month ago, he would drink from it and had no problems. I use the Nuby, which has a silicone tip, which is somewhat similar to a bottle, not a hard plastic tip. When she is ready, she will let you know. And by the way, Ryan holding his cup and drinking without me holding it, was the best EVER!

I use the Nuby and put apple juice watered down in it. He loves it and it has easy grip handles on it and the top is soft.

Re: Need some sippy cup help
Jordana is about 10 days older than Marron I think. We tried a sippy about a month ago but she wanted no part of it. She had great fun with it, but she thought the "spout" was a teether.
We'll try again in another couple of months.

Re: Need some sippy cup help
Jacob was not interested ina sippy cup at all until I went cold turkey to milk when e turned 1.
don't push it on her, when she is ready she will take it.
i suggest what the other ladies did, just put it in front of her when she is eating and let her play with it..

Re: Need some sippy cup help
you can try breastmilk. I used to put 3 oz of water to 1 oz pear juice (he liked it better than apple). Eventually I lowered the ratio to complete water
