Need some prayers-update at bottom!
Hello all,
I haven't posted on this board before, but I am in desperate need of some prayers for my pug, Zora. She is the sweetest, most precious girl, and is only 3 years old. She has recently been diagnosed with encephalitis, but not Pug encephalitis. She is getting the best treatment and is under 24 hour care in an ICU unit and the doctors are hopeful, but cautious. I am so worried for her, she is my baby. But I am also doing my best to stay calm because I am about 6 weeks pregnant. Please keep Zora in your prayers....she means the world to me.

Thank you everyone. I'm waiting for the dr to call this morning with an update. Hopefully it will be some good news and the medicines they are trying are working. I'll keep you posted.

Zora is off the critical list for the first time since Monday morning! Her vital signs are all good and she is alert, eating and drinking! They say it is still a long road to recovery, and she may not ever fully walk/run perfectly again, but she is doing so much better. Thank you all for your prayers...they are working!

Yes, I just received some great news! The doctor thinks the medicine is working because she is starting to get strength back in her left side. Her right side is still very weak so she can't stand on her own yet, but dr says if the medicine is working that will come. She also said my little girl is such a fighter and in such good spirits. I can go visit her tomorrow! I can't wait to see her. I want to bring her favorite blanket from home so that she has some familiar scents.

UPDATE_Need some prayers :(
I just wanted to thank everyone for all their prayers. Zora was released from the hospital this weekend, and although she can't walk on her own yet, the doctor believes she will be able to walk again. Since she has been home, she has shown amazing improvement. She has gained a lot of control and strength in her front legs, and this morning took a few steps (though very wobbly) on her own!
