Need some opinions....

Hello everyone... I just decided to sign on as a consultant for a company... my really close girlfriend got me into it.... so, tonight was a support meeting for all new people.. I signed on to start in April my DH and I are moving soon and I JUST got my kit. I havent really looked at anything and I was just going for support.....

SO.. later in the meeting she decided to play a game, almost like family feud... there were fourteen people there.. she started asking questions about things you should do.... etc.. think fast questions.. which were good, but I didn't know any... needless to say, I was truly embarassed... I know my girlfriend kept saying, not a big deal, but I just got upset that she new I was just starting and wanted me to answer these questions anyway... I was truly embarasses. and now I feel like I don't want to even do this now... I think I might be overreacting.. I know she was trying to help... but I was just getting embarassed... and I feel overwhelmed.. what do you think??? TIA!

ETA: Just looking for feedback or experience if you felt overwhelmed as well... I am a teacher and noramlly don't get embarassed, but this just made me feel so stupid! especially when she was giving me a weird face...

I think everyone gets embarassed when put on the spot, esp when you are new to a company and want to make a positive first impression. You would think she would have stopped if she saw you were embarassed or unsure. I am sure that everyone there knew that you were new and will not hold it against you. I would feel the same way you do but give it a few hours/a day and I think you will feel better. It is not your fault, you are new, how were you supposed to know? Lots of
