need some help... what do contractions feel like?

ok so im 5 days over due i lost my mucous plug last thurs. it was clear no blood in it. i went for an nst ths a.m. alon with an internal nothng was going on not dialated and no contractions tonight i am feeling a lot of tightening in my stomach its happeneing more often than not i am not timing them i dont know if its the baby moving or my uterus contracting.it only tight on one side i feel like they are not neccesarily painful just uncomfortable i can totally speak through them. im wondering if its all in my head becausei want this baby out!!! some insight would be greatly appreciated!!

To me, contractions felt like I had to poop.

Contraction are a cramping feeling partnered with a ton of backside pressure. Your stomach tighens a lot foir about a minute or so and then becomes relaxed. The tightening has pain associated with it. You could be having contractions, absolutely. Once the pressure starts get to the hospital.

For me it felt like menstrual cramps with a dull ache in my my back and a tightening in my belly. I was able to talk through them for most of my labor.

I'd say try to start timing what you are feeling.

I felt like my entire body was being sucked into my belly button, as if it were a black hole. While that happened, I felt the need to poop, but didn't have to go.
