Need recommendations in increasing my milk production

Please share what has helped to boost your milk supply.

DD has always just been a "snack" eater. I just assumed that she was satisfied---while she has gained weight and all that---I realized today that her snacking ways have left me producing little milk at a time. After a 3 minute feeding today, I wondered why she kept unlatching. I made her a bottle from milk I had in the fridge and pumped just to see what was up---I only pumped 1 oz. between the 2 breasts and it had been 2.5 hours since her last feeding. She is almost 11 weeks old. I need to boost my supply to get her on a nursing schedule. Any advice would help.

Oatmeal always worked for me. The real oatmeal in the canister that you cook on the stove top, not the little packages.

Make sure you are drinking lots during the day too!

I found that increasing the frequency of my pumping increased my milk supply. I pumped religiously every 2 hours to make sure I could produce 32 oz of milk per day to keep up with DS increased appetite for milk.

I also drank LOTS of water. If I noticed a change in my supply I would add more water to drink.

I also used mother's milk tea from time to time when my supply was getting low again.

Make sure to drink water while nursing - not just in between. Pump after you nurse, and try oatmeal and fenugreek tablets (or Mother's Milk tea).

I took 3-4 pills of fenugreek 3 times a day.. to increase my supply...
Also my ob told me if you pump while nursing at the same time.. it increases your supply by 25%.
Good luck.. Dont give up.. It worked with me for 5 months I just stopped 3 days ago... : (

I have the same problem. DS still likes to feed like a newborn. I've tried the extra pump sessions but it's hard to squeeze in. I've started supplementing with formula. I go back to work in a month and my frozen milk supplies won't last so I started giving him 1-2 servings of formula a day.

Try More Milk Plus-available at Whole Foods or Motherlove.com. I used the tincture which tastes horrible but you can mix it with OJ-it worked for a LOT of girls on here(but also didn't work for a couple) worth a shot. I have twins but at one point I was producing 18 oz per session(exclusively pumping with a hospital grade pump)

Definitely try More Milk Plus. Drinks lots of water, and try to pump after each feeding..even if nothing comes out, it's stimulating more production. HTH
