Need quick help please! Toddler in a limo, car seat or no?
Dh's grandma died on Saturday. Her funeral is on Wednesday and his mom and her siblings are getting the limos as we speak and trying to do a headcount and figure who is going where and how they are getting there.
DS is 17 months. If you have taken a limo with a young child did you put a car seat in the limo? I am guessing yes? But are there seat belts to strap it down and hook it up right?

Ugh, that won't work. I have an obligation that I am 99% sure I can't get out of and although the mass is in our town, the cemetery is in Calverton (we live in Amityville) and DH is a poll bearer and of course the grandson so he is most def going and was going to bring DS with him and his family will watch him when he is carrying the casket. So, going in the limo is 99% a must right now.

I agree.
But since you said you have to, yes I would absolutely put a carseat in the limo. They have seatbelts.

I would ask the limo company to provide one. We've done this every time we've needed a limo, town car or van since my niece was born 6 years ago & we've never come across a company that didn't have one ready to go when they picked us up. We'd just inspect it first & we'd be ready to go. I'm so sorry for your loss

YES! We brought our own car seats and the limo drivers were very accommodating.

I'd probably go on our own but YES, definitely a car seat for a limo. We had no choice but to use a limo for my SIL's wedding and we used our car seat with the seat belts.

I would not go in the limo. I would use my own car. If not, you must put the carseat in the limo.

When my grandmother passed away and then my mother, YES we had car seats in the limos!
ETA: It honestly took my brother and DH maybe 10 mins. to put the seats in.

yes to car seat and there are seat belts, my nephew was in a car seat in the limo for my wedding

So sorry for your loss, sure this is the last thing you need to think of
I have a friend who owns a limo comp. and the drivers don't let the child in the car without a carseat. Of course this is very different situation, but I am pretty sure its the law, so no one is going to feel put out by you needing to install it prior.

we are going away next week and we get the car seats out of the car the night before and put them in. so sorry for your loss!! the limo driver helped us the last time.

As a funeral director I HIGHLY recommend using your car seat!
The cars are usually arranged through the funeral home & the drivers are all typically super accomadating!!
When people are in doubt I always say: Would you ever drive your DC all the way to Calverton in your own car with no car seat?
