Need prayers please
I just came back from the RE.
According to the sonogram it looks like one twin's heart is weaker than the other and looks about a week behind where it should be.
She didn't want to give me too much info one way or the other. I think it's 50/50 whether that fetus continues or not Both fetuses are in separate sacs.
I know the other looks very strong and I am still grateful for that. It's just that this was such a long, painful, emotionally and financially draining road to get here. I am older than most on this board and was hoping I'd have my two twins and I'd be done... no more infertility to worry about and no more worrying about trying to have another when I'm 38 or 39 and my chances are even less
Please say a prayer for Twin 2 that he or she gets stronger and continues on to live a long and healthy life

Theresa.....the SAME thing happened to me at the same stage as where you are at. I freaked out.
I know the other twin will make it.
My RE was concerned too, but by 12-14 weeks baby B caught up and was only measuring a day behind. It is amazing how quick they catch up.
Im praying the same thing will happen.
My guess was that baby B was a late implanter.
Hang in there.....when do you go back again?

Thank ladies... that was quick.
I'm always the one that tells everyone to "not listen to the tests" and that "as much as the doctors know... they really don't know" I guess it's hard to listen to your own advice
I had to stop by my Dad's and drop off his groceries after the doctor. I put them away, kissed him "hello" and "goodbye" in the same breathe and said that I really needed to just go home.
When they did my embryo transfer the doc said they looked a "little behind" then too and well, they stuck and one is great... hoping the other catches up this week. I go back next Wednesday.

Oh no!!!!! Those babies are fighters, like their momma!! God bless you and your twins...may they BOTH be healthy and strong...and may Twin 2's heart get better!! You're in my prayers!!

OMG!!!!!!!!!
i JUST CAME BACK FROM THE DOC AND THE SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED TO ME...IT STINKS.
I posted and asked the same questions.
One of my twins is 6 days behind...and we have the exact same due date remember? April 10th--maybe its a sign that its more common then we think.
I am freaking out.
