need opinions on party favors

so we are having a big sweet 16 for my stepdaughter-
its a nightclub theme, custom tee-shirts as favors for the kids plus a photobooth,
we are having an ice luge with JoJo energy drink "shots" for the kids. And a "signature" non-alcoholic drink

I wanted to do an "adult favor" for the 30 or so that are coming. 99% family.
What do you think of tiny alcohol bottles in those clear favor boxes with ingredients to make a drink?
For example if you are an adult guest at the table named Miami you'd get a Mojito kit.
The favors will not be left on the table, they will be handed out to the adults as they leave so that the teenagers can't steal them.
Good or bad idea?

I think that is a really cute idea. And since you plan on handing them to the adults I see no harm.

This sounds like it is going to be an awesome party! Chat Icon

I think you're going to be missing a lot of those little favor bottles at the end of the night.

eta - I think it's a cute idea too - are they should get a blacklight stamp/or regular stamp when they enter.

I may be in the minority here, but I do not think it's a good idea to give alcohol as a favor at a sweet 16. Even if you are only intending to give it to adults. It just doesn't set a good example in my opinion.

That is what I mean, I'm wondering if its in poor taste. We are not big drinkers so I probably wouldn't even drink it if I got it as a favor. Plus if people get them on the way out I'm not sure if they'll drink them.

What a great idea! Maybe just the drink mixes then? You can get some really great ones from Homegoods Chat Icon

i like this idea! that way if you get any adult non-drinkers they can make it virgin too Chat Icon

i personally don't have a problem with alcohol as a favor for a sweet 16 for the adults but i can see why for some people that could be an issue. Chat Icon

I was going to suggest this too. That way- you are not handing out actual alcohol. Just the mixers. I think this is a much better idea!

I'm in the minority here as well, but I see no reason why you need to have two different favors.

I've been to Sweet16 parties and we got the same favor as everyone else - I was fine with that.

Why not give out the glasses, like a hurricane glass or a martini glass with the mix inside. You're not giving out any alcohol...just the mix.

I think it's a very cute idea but honestly, in this day and age of underage drinking and sue-happy people, God forbid something happens, you don't need a liability over a Sweet 16 favor. I like the other ideas of leaving out the alcohol.

I agree I would skip the alcohol as a favor for adults. I also like the idea of a sep favor. Edible favors always work! Maybe custom cupcakes or cookies?

I agree. I say go with one favor and nothing alcohol/shot glass/drinking related for anyone. I could see certain parents getting up in arms about something like this.
