Need opinions on name
I am having such a hard time with boys names. Right now the top contender is Robert Dylan.
I put up a poll a few weeks ago and this name got the most votes and no one seemed to notice that Robert Dylan is BOB Dylan.
So here is my question, do you think that is silly, cheesy, weird or anything else like that. We wouldn't call the baby Bob or bobby, we would use Rob or Robby.
I didn't think it was a big deal but when DH told SIL she make a comment 
Please let me know what you think. TIA

Robert Dylan is nice...but i did notice it was bob dylan. Still a very nice name!!!

i like robert dylan, AND boys will not be using their middle name so i think it will be ok...
Plus bob dylan was his first and last name.. i think it is ok

i have mixed feelings... on one hand, i must admit that "bob dylan" was the first thing that crossed my mind when i heard the name, and i thought it was strange (i didn't vote for it the first time for that reason).
i also wouldn't rely on the fact that you won't be using bob as a nickname for him, because you never know what nicknames will "stick", be it from the other kids or what he chooses to call himself. in my case, for example, my friends at school did NOT call me what my parents called me. my parents actually hate my nickname and never intended it for me. i like it, which is why i kept it.
having said that, it's not like he'll be using his middle name all the time, probably just the initial...

I still like it. I doubt the kids he'll grow up with will really know who Bob Dylan is anyway. And none of my friends new my middle name growing up.
Plus there is nothing wrong with Bob Dylan. My dad loves him.

I know a bunch of Roberts and not one of them has ever been called Bob. Only my older uncle and I think that nickname is a thing of the past.
I wouldnt worry about it, how often do you use the middle name anyway?
