I'm not sure if I'd still go...I probably would. Even though DH already told your DS, I think I'd tell him that you changed the reservation and are staying in a place with no ghosts. Even though he seems like it will be fun, you don't know what will run through his mind in the dark of the night.

I could not handle that! I am freaking out for you. DS might be ok with it now, but do you think he will freak out once he gets there? I personally would cancel. I have encountered ghosts before and it scares the crap out of me!

I was thinking this. DS says he's fine with it but if we show up there and he is too scared to stay there, we will most likely have no where else to stay. It's four months away and places are already booked with no availability so I doubt we could find a place that day.

The problem is that kids can seem cool with something, but you never know how they are going to react or what is going on in their heads. Last year DS was reading about Abraham Lincoln (it was a kid's book but they mentioned his assassination) and he seemed ok, but some days later, he started having lots of anxiety and fear of people breaking into our place and hurting us… so much that he didn't want to be left alone when I was taking my shower
