Re: Need Music Help from the LIR/DRE fans
Speaking of LIR, does anyone know when they changed 107.1 to the dance format (same as 105.3) and do you think it'll come back? (They have done this before and all of sudden come back or pop up on a different frequency). I so miss them.

Re: Need Music Help from the LIR/DRE fans
I never recorded off the TV but I remember having to run copper wire from the stereo to one of the screens on my bedroom windows in order for LIR to come in (I lived in Queens)!!!! For some reason my BFF could get better reception in Brooklyn!!!
I actually won two records from WLIR contests ... one was an Eddy Grant EP and I can't remember the other! I have no idea where they are anymore because I gave my brother all my albums and he just recently had his house foreclosed on and I don't know if they made it out

Re: Need Music Help from the LIR/DRE fans
Remember the LIR/DRE vans? I remember LIR coming to my school when I was a freshman and winning a record from them - it was The Pursuit of Happiness.
I also remember that the Depeche Mode concert at the garden was the same night that LIR went off the air for the first time - late Dec '87 - we were all going to the concert - Music for the Masses and were so scared it was going to be cancelled or something cause our beloved radio station was gone
