need ideas for a special family day
This saturday is very likely the last day we will get to spend doing family activities as a family of four before our newest family member arrives.. (I'm 38weeks pregnant, and the other weekend days coming up are booked with other family plans, weddings, or dh working). I really wanted to go strawberry picking at our favorite place, but just found out they are not open for strawberry picking yet. Any other ideas for a special day? My kids are 3.5 and 4.5, and given how pregnant I am, things like amusement parks probably aren't the best for me right now (I like to go on the rides with my kiddos!).
I'm happy to go anywhere withing 1.5-2 hours of NYC.
TIA!

I would just take them somewhere fun like Dave and Buster's or even the park and then end the day with ice cream at Friendly's. Enjoy!!

Re: need ideas for a special family day
Right before our DS was born we had a special day for our DD where we made her favorite breakfast, took her to Build-A-Bear to make a special friend, let her choose where to go out for dinner that night and choose what activities we did for the day. It was simple but it was all about her and what she wanted and we had a wonderful day!
Maybe ask your kids what they would like to see or do. Go out to eat, go bowling, see a movie, etc. As long as you're together and they are having fun it will be a great family day!
