Need help with car brakes...
Does anyone know of anyone who knows anything about brakes on a car? I don't need them done, but I had a question.
My DH replaced the break pads last week sometime because they started squeaking so we figured it was time for new pads. Well, he replaced them even though there was a 1/4 of the brake pads left still. Well, the problem is that my brakes are squealing even more now? We are clueless? How can they be squealing when they're new brakes? Can anyone ask someone who has experience with this? I can't afford to take it to a mechanic for them to look at. It will cost a lot just for that! Thanks!

New brakes do squeal...I think it's probably just brake dust.
Or at least that's what my dad told me when it happened to me.
Eventually it should stop.

Really???
I've had the brakes down on this car before and they didn't squeal afterwards? I hope it does go away soon! Thanks!

I agree....brake dust is most likely the case fot the squeak that you are hearing. It should go away. Give it time..if not, then consider taking it back to where they were done.
